Objective of the position:
As a member of the Wiring Systems Department at Daimler Truck Mexico Engineering Center (DTMEC), plan, coordinate, track and support on all development phases for the wiring design contents related to Major and Strategic Projects (PAR). In adherence to the Commercial Vehicle Development System (CVDS), guaranteeing the successful completion and release of the design
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience prefered.
- Excellent verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work with multiple groups.
- Experience in identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems.
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly plant processes.
- Experience to analyze circuits and control systems.
Soft Skills:
- Project management - Effective communication - Planning and organization - Strategic thinking - Influence and negociation
Academic Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required. Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering preferred.

Main Functions:
- Manage and follow up on the delivery of all required wiring content related to PAR projects in accordance with the Functional Activity List (FAL), aligned to each project schedule.
- Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all PAR related work assigned to DTMEC wiring team. Provide functional status reports to upper management, and product strategy teams, representing DTMEC Wiring department at the Core Team Meetings along with the rest of stakeholders. P
- Proactively inform management of project and design issues, delays and risks, and will capture them as a concern into the project management system (C-place).
- Setup meetings with the DTNA Wiring Project Managers to inform and align on project functional status and cascade main information to the DTMEC wiring teams on a clear and timely manner.
- In Alignment with DTNA project managers, lead the implementation of processes & tools to ensure a succesful transition of PAR wiring responsibilities from DTNA to DTMEC.
- Provide mentoring to the engineering team members to improve their understanding related to the CVDS process and FAL deliverables.
- Identify and collect continuous improvement ideas generated by the Engineering teams, that can be implemented into the new projects, leading to improve quality and cost from the wiring design perspective.
