About the Opportunity:
Ellucian is seeking a Cloud Engineer to work with our clients. Higher education customers are transforming to modern campuses while leveraging technology and solutions to enable student success. Today everything we build is cloud-first, extensible, open, and modular. We know this is the right path as it puts our customers and their students at the center of everything we build.
**Where you will make an impact**
- Assisting the manager in addressing complex provisioning, deployment, configuration, and automation projects.
- Writing standard operating procedures and training our operations engineers to use and maintain the automation tools.
- Identify, analyze, and optimize cloud operations processes in collaboration with the Network, Platform, Database, and Applications teams for automation.
- Analyze changes in business requirements and updating the existing documents, processes, methods, procedures, and tools to work with these changes.
- Proactive system management via monitoring; building and developing automated remediation
- Smooth collaboration amongst cross functional peer teams to deliver optimal customer experience
- Be an active participant in Root Cause Analysis providing feedback, insights, & recommendations
**What you will bring**
- Cloud knowledge
- 1-3 years’ experience in Ansible, Terraform, Python, Lambda, Jenkins, Bitbucket
- Monitoring experience (Elk, Datadog)

- Effectively identifies and proposes solutions to solve or improve challenging problems; solutions focused mindset.
