Manufacturing Costing Specialist

Purpose Statement: Responsible for the analysis, creation, and manipulation of customer documentation necessary for the Costing process.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Create clear and concise communication to the Costing Team, Business Development, Customer Management and operations with regards to documentation gaps.- Understand and ensure costing solution follows Plexus guidelines, customer specifications, quote strategy and adheres to regulatory compliance and quality guidelines.- Interpret customer technical documentation and understand Plexus manufacturing capabilities in order to make intelligent make or purchase decisions.- Manage and transform customer strategy and documentation into appropriate structure and inputs for the cost estimation and tools system.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Meet with Costing Project Manager (CPM) to analyze BOM and formulate questions regarding ambiguities or inconsistencies with the customer documentation.- Attend all required Kick-Off meetings.- Work with Component Analyst to provide, confirm and or clarify manufacturer component information.- Escalate issues to senior management regarding schedule delays, resource priorities, or other barriers to completing the project on time.- Meet with Costing Project Manager (CPM) to analyze BOM and formulate questions regarding ambiguities or inconsistencies with the customer documentation.- Escalate issues to senior management regarding schedule delays, resource priorities, or other barriers to completing the project on time.- Distribute documentation to appropriate departments.- Work with Sourcing Engineer to identify the local supplier for all the CEC parts and uploaded it into Quote Win. *Applicable for APAC only*- Attach all the CEC parts drawing, Fabrication drawing and Gerber into Quote Win.- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business.- Additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate's degree is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.- 5 years of related experience is required; 5+ or more years of related experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
Other Qualifications:
- Intermediate Computer Skills- Intermediate decision making, problem solving skills- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills- Prioritize multiple tasks, meets deadlines and communicates shortcomings to management.- Advanced knowledge and understanding of product related bom structure- General office equipment and materials
Work Environment:
- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
