Purpose Statement: Responsible for providing accurate and timely manufacturing pricing information for a specific Plexus market sector. The Manufacturing Costing Specialist enables Plexus to provide industry competitive pricing quotations in support of current customers and new business development opportunities.

Key Job Accountabilities:

- Estimate costs of manufacturing services for quote development activities on new business opportunities to support the business acquisition efforts of our go-to-market teams.
- Meet with manufacturing sites to validate cost estimates with site management and engineering staff to gain site agreement on true manufacturing costs and ensure quote consistency.
- Develop manufacturing service solutions for Plexus’ end customers. The best solution will target lowest total cost to Plexus and in turn, provide competitive pricing to our end customers.
- Ensure product costs are sensible from one manufacturing site to the next in order to represent a “One Plexus” solution to our customers and targets.

Additional Accountabilities:

- Monitor Global Quote Workbook assumptions and cost drivers as compared to actual results and suggest continuous improvement of the workbook.
- Review actual and estimated manufacturing times with site resources to improve labor margin and costing tools.
- Stay informed of site manufacturing capabilities and equipment sets.
- Assist in sharing best practices and developing global tools.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required for this position; a technical engineering degree or business degree is preferred.
- Three (3) years of related experience is required; Five (5) years of related experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and have the ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Plexus Corporation in a professional manner.
- Ability to interact well in a cross-functional team and maintain the confidentiality of all customer and company information.
- Intermediate Decision Making and Problem Solving Skills.

Work Environment:

- The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.
