Buyer responsible for the creation and execution of Purchasing Strategies on specific commodities. Cost management of products and services through research, quotes, pricing negotiation, and issuance of purchase orders.

Manages all aspects of purchasing of parts and services while taking into account cost-effective solutions. Develops budget estimates and forecasts for a specific commodity. Selects qualified suppliers and manufacturers and develops new supply sources of high dollar value, long lead time, critically needed parts, equipment, materials, or services.Maintain productive relationships with suppliers while obtaining best purchasing prices.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing.
- Automotive purchasing experience is desirable
- Fluent in English.
- Education: Business, Supply Chain Mgt, Engineering, or similar.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Capacity to create commodity strategies and follow them.
- Capacity to deep dive cost (challenge cost details).
- Experience with creation of cost models is desirable.
- Good understanding of purchasing processes.
- Able to work under high pressure and tight timing needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with multiple personalities.
- Experience working with global teams and different cultures
- Emphasize the importance of meeting commitments.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure delivery of results.
- Execute decisions with speed and conviction.
- Explain how decisions were made.
- Provide people with the information they need, when they need it.
- Create a work environment focused on serving customer needs.
- Execute and communicate difficult decisions despite adversity.
- Respect and encourage different opinions.
