**About the role**
Ensure the timely and efficient procurement of materials for production without incurring additional costs, minimize operational risks, and ensure effective inventory control.
**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Sr Buyer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Placing purchase orders on time
- Validating shortages and expediting
- Following up and resolving discrepant purchase orders (hold invoices)
- Covering materials for short, medium, and long-term needs
- Inventory control
- Keeping exception reports up to date (pull in/push out/cancel)
- Managing ECNs and NPI projects
- Managing Phase in-Phase out projects
- Developing cost-saving strategies
- Maintaining good communication with suppliers
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 4-6 years of experience in direct material purchasing
- Advanced English
- Intermediate/Advanced Office and Excel skills
- Experience with MRP
- Preferably experience with SAP
