**Main Responsibilities**:
Under the general direction of the Corporate Accounting Lead Financial, our Accounting Analyst will support the financial and analytical processes associated with the Corporate Controlling Department at Johnson Controls. The principal duties of this role will be balance sheet analysis, journal entry processing, account reconciliation, and intercompany review.
**What skills you need**:
- Prepare monthly/recurring journal entries.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to detect errors or inconsistencies.
- Record and analyze weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll transactions for LATAM countries.
- Provide necessary information and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Take a lead role in intercompany review and cross-charges in Mexico.
- Work across departments and geographical locations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded at month-end.
- Assist the cash and bank team in the research of open cash items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**What makes you stand out**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Fluent in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SAP.
