This position will require you to wear a number of 'hats' covering a range of responsibilities which ensure a positive customer experience with our tool design and manufacturing process. This position requires an extremely perceptive and detail-oriented person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels, both within and outside the organization.

**Job duties and responsibilities**:

- Evaluates process flow and plant layout, recommending and implementing improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations and equipment utilization to improve through put, reduce labor/manufacturing costs, and improve safety.
- Acts as Company's tooling and engineering contact for customers and vendors.
- Assesses and completes manufacturing feasibility for product design and assist in answering tooling related question concerns or use of expertise to help progress new projects and product.
- Work closely with sales and operations on tooling issues relating to current and future product requirements, and implements product design efforts which meet the evolving need of the customers.
- Coordinate the development of cutting tools, toolholders, and machining process for new model, capacity up, and new technology implementation
- Develops costs for test production data; prepares technical analysis, recommends production methods and processes required to meet tooling design objectives.
- Completes tooling estimates and participate in the vendor selection process for tooling projects.
- Reviews proposals of, and develops new, outside vendors for the purchase of tooling services to augment internal capacity.
- Participates and supports the Project Management (PM) methodologies within the scope of the company's product realization and planning process (as it relates to tooling) to meet customer expectations.
- Lead tool budget creation, control, and analysis to evaluate cutting tool budgets

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Proficiency in the use of statistical analysis methods of problem-solving.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc. Fluency in SolidWorks is critical.
- Knowledge of APQP project management and knowledge of GD&T specifications.
- Strong motivation to teach, mentor, learn and contribute imperative.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills a must; strong collaboration.

**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other related study strongly preferred.
- English b2
- Experience in tooling and fixtures, design, material processing, cost analysis, material handling, and personal computing.
- Highly developed professional relationships with OEM customers and key component suppliers working in the manufacturing industry.
