**Job purpose**:
Optimizing trading strategies, analyzing risk, and delivering insights with our trading, data, and modeling teams.
**Duties and responsibilities**:
- Portfolio Optimization: Operate and refine portfolio optimization models, ensuring data consistency and analyzing market patterns to inform strategic decisions.
- Strategy Development: Design and adjust portfolio selection strategies, considering risk assessments, available capital, and potential market fluctuations.
- Performance Analysis: Collaborate in presenting the final portfolio offerings, interpreting key metrics such as Profit and Loss (PnL) and Mark-to-Market (MtM) gains.
- Model Enhancement: Provide feedback to prediction and backtesting teams, identifying shortcomings and suggesting improvements to existing models.
- Market Monitoring: Track historical portfolio performance and identify new business opportunities within the energy sector.
**Requirements**:
Proficiency in econometrics and asset risk analysis, 3+ years experience in financial markets.
**Technical Proficiency**: Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Excel skills
Modeling pro, familiar with predictive models and basic principles of portfolio optimization theory.
**Desirable**: Experience in electricity/energy product markets.
