Materials Director

**Summary**

Ensure the supply of materials to cover production requirements at the best possible cost, through the integration of work teams and clear processes, with the aim of satisfying customer requirements.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinate and direct the purchasing, planning, warehouse and logistics functions.
- Ensure the establishment of processes to monitor and control spending on Materials and inventory control.
- Monitor inventory levels in accordance with local and corporate goals.
- Monitoring of Materials costs and their evolution.
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Supports cross-functional training in projects
- Manages relationships with suppliers and provides guidance in the relationship of suppliers.
- Ensures the correct monitoring of the inventory disposal process.
- Ensures the monitoring of the policies and procedures defined in the plant.
- Monitor and control expenses within your area of responsibility.
- Ensures freight charges are within allowable parameters
- Alignment of production plans against customer requirements.
- Provides information and guidance to manufacturing for the follow-up of the production plan.
- Ensure the veracity of Materials inside and outside warehouses.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in closely related field preferred
- 4-year degree or equivalent in executive management experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electronic manufacturing, 3 years in leadership positions at Executive level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective personal interrelationship skills
- Ability to handle multiple events or take additional responsibility if required.
- High sense of organization and definition of priorities
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Ability to work with diverse and/or multifunctional groups.
- Demonstrate high discretion, a sense of reliability and confidentiality, independent judgment and very high professionalism.
- Self directed or with mínimal supervision using your judgment
- Understanding of continuous improvement tools
- High sense of service to its clients and focus on it.
- Knowledge of productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Web ex, Power BI.
- Ability to coordinate and achieve solutions through their work teams.
- Demonstrate knowledge of internal and external logistics for material flows.
- Knowledge of inventory optimization strategies and lean concepts.
- Demonstration of leadership and people management skills
