**OVERVIEW**:
Working as Product Compliance Intern, you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Procurement, Supply Chain, Product Development, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be providing first level support for supplier compliance needs relative to regulatory and/or customer demands. Some key areas supported by this team include Corporate and Social Responsibility initiatives, Supplier Diversity, Sustainability, Supplier Creation and Maintenance.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Create new corporate and local suppliers
- Contact to suppliers for data and support
- Generating periodic and ad hoc reports
- Using PeopleSoft, Internet, and Microsoft Office Suite regularly

**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (V-lookups and basic formatting)
- Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
