Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Manage and review accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures and controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Assist with tax compliance and preparation of tax filings in coordination with external advisors.
- Prepare reports for management, including budget variance analysis and financial forecasting.
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants, providing guidance and review of their work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA designation.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of corporate tax laws and compliance.
- Industry experience in [Insert Industry if applicable].
- More experience with balance sheet recons, GAAP knowledge, and overall strong accounting experience.
Pay: $24,000.00 - $29,000.00 per month
