**Position Summary**
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented **Customer Support Representative** to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and prospects, while also directly supporting smaller client-facing projects. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable communicating with a global audience, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and navigating client needs with professionalism and care.
**Key Responsibilities**
Client Communication & Inbox Management
- Monitor and respond to inquiries in the general support inbox, either by forwarding to the appropriate representative or responding directly when appropriate;
- Manage small client projects, including gathering necessary project details, creating quotes, and assisting with sample submission forms, while ensuring timely and professional communication;
- Identify prospective client opportunities by evaluating fit and requesting additional information as needed;
- Troubleshoot issues with our Customer Area and online forms, ensuring smooth user experience.
Live Chat System:
- Remain active at all times throughout the day to resolve real-time questions, guide clients to resources, or escalate inquiries as needed;
- Redirect clients to regional representatives when necessary;
- Provide support for clients navigating online portal or submission-related challenges.
Project & Admin Support
- Assist with administrative tasks assigned by your manager;
- Effective management of productivity, goals, workload, and schedule;
- Stay informed on SGS Beta’s services, resources, industries, and lab developments to better serve clients.
- Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred;
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in French, German, Portuguese, or Spanish is a plus.
- Demonstrates accountability, follows established processes, and is receptive to direction, training, and feedback.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage time and tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
- Experience using digital tools and systems to support customer service operations and administrative tasks.
**Compensation**
The compensation package for this role includes an hourly rate, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Salary Expectations: Hourly: $12 USD
