**Primary Functions**:
The Solutions Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of BNSF Logistics transportation solutions in the Mexico marketplace. The includes carrier sales, operations, carrier and vendor procurement, sales support and overall facilitation of multimodal solutions within the Company’s service lines.

**Basic Qualifications**:
The Solutions Specialist must have at least one year of transportation or logistics industry experience in a customer facing capacity in a sales, operations or carrier relations/procurement role. A working knowledge of the third party logistics (3PL) industry is required as well as a positive and highly motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and desire for professional growth.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Analyze, evaluate, and collaborate with sales team to deliver multimodal solutions options for customer supply chains.
- Input carrier capacity in our proprietary system to document carrier’s available capacity and match to customer freight needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with carriers and other vendors through procurement activities and vendor management.
- Negotiate beyond price to demonstrate value for the carrier.
- Work with sales team to source loads for available capacity with vendors across a selection of multimodal solutions.
- Resolve issues that might arise concerning covered freight among customers and carriers or other vendors.
- Travel up to 10% within Mexico and the United States
- A valid passport is required

**Education/Certifications**:

- Broad knowledge of a field such as business, accounting, finance, sales etc.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related experience in a sales, operations or carrier relations capacity is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
