Position purpose

The Nutrition category is transforming, and the pace of change is increasing. As part of our Nutrition Strategic Team, you will be part of a dynamic and flexible team where people are empowered to take ownership and responsibility to deliver results. The Supply Chain CM Manager serves as the critical interface between co-makers and the business. The role ensures that operation is delivered (service/costs/inventories) while network optimization is delivered, innovation & savings projects are implemented in accordance with the business strategic objectives. This person is a Supply Chain leader responsible to define the role of the 3PMs relationship with Unilever as well as manage is delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE:

- Guarantee the production plan. Understand the key losses and lead with 3PM (CM) properly action plan in order to guarantee service level.
- Establish production and service KPIs, set priorities and coordinate improvement action plan
- Manage raw and pack material inventory accuracy. Minimum of 1 fiscal inventory per month per CM (under tooling model)
- Review with planning team capacity utilization and production plan accuracy
- Define the best run strategy to optimize service and costs
- Finished Goods transport coordination with logistic team

COSTS:

- Execute finance plan in accordance with 3PM (CM) contract
- Review production plan to guarantee finance accuracy
- Develop/ implement savings opportunities in CMs and guarantee their benefits in cost reduction
- Review the contract cost price and in accordance with medium/long term demand plan, propose contract adjustments

STRATEGY & INNOVATION:

- Review sourcing opportunities - make or buy - optimization/expansion/build partnerships
- Active management of 3PM portfolio aiming simplification opportunities (skus/recipes/materials)
- Review with strategic planning medium and long-term plans for each portfolio to decide whether to keep or to discontinue operations from 3PM
- Search new CMs in accordance with new business and innovation needs
- Guarantee flawless innovation implementation in accordance with technical & business requirements
- Support commissioning and any line ramp up
- Lead new capabilities development based on the Business Unit needs

Success Criteria:

- Provide clear visibility on Performance management KPIS
- Propose and deliver savings plans
- Clear approach on strategical network management - what to keep/ what to discontinue / what to grow

Background needed:
Experience in Supply Chain (make, planning, procurement) Operations in consumer good industry products (supply chain, manufacturing) Experience in operations (make) and negotiation skills.

Skillset needed:

- Personal Mastery: very good balance between operational excellence (discipline) and negotiation skills.
- Business acumen: Focused on bringing to the table new savings ideas (P&L understanding) to support the cost optimization agenda
- Agility: You will always be on your toes thinking of a Plan B & be ready to execute when needed. You will be an out of the box thinker coming up with solutions to new problems whilst using your influencing skills to convince the co-makers to implement what drives business strategy
- Consumer love: understand and convey partners and users need in the project
