**Description**
Coordinate quality, environmental and safety programs including monitoring of general building conditions to ensure that all work performed at GEODIS Mexico is done in a safe manner. To direct and monitor safety programs to protect employees and stakeholders against harm and maintain safe working conditions.
Document and implement the documentation supporting the Global Integrated Management System for Mexico.
- Support the operational team in the mapping, documentation and improvement of process.
- Perform routine walkthrough inspections of facilities including maintenance area, administrative areas, warehouses, dining room, loading and unloading areas (maneuvering yard) to insure adherence to safety standards and compliance with the 5s’s program.
- Evaluate and ensure that in-house contractors operate safely and in accordance with GEODIS safety standards.
- Implement and continuously improve the Occupational Health and Safety Program for Mexico.
- Provide ongoing employee safety training.
- Investigate job related accidents and incidents.
- Prepares written safety and health programs and policies.
- Supports plant personnel in selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Conduct on a yearly basis the risk analysis for warehouses.
- Monitoring of fire equipment
- Managing EHS records and data
- Adhering to regulatory compliance requirements
- Working with other departments to improve EHS performance.
- Communicating with employees, customers, and the community about EHS issues
- Support the implementation of processes related to Occupational Health and Safety and Environment for new clients.
- Support during external audits.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Education: Industrial engineer, chemical engineer, environmental engineer, mechanical engineer or related.
- ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018
- Internal Auditor Certificate
- English Advanced
