**Goal**(s)** of this Position**
Prioritize Work Orders to best meet the shipment dates specified by the Planning Department.
Ensure Work Orders start in a timely manner to best meet the shipment dates specified by the planning department.** **Notify Department Manager and Production Manager of any issue that may prevent the delivery dates from being met.** **Assist to resolve work order problems or production bottlenecks to prevent delivery issues.** **Work within the parameters of the QM System while pursuing the general and company specific commercial goals.
- **Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Prioritize and Scheduling of Production Orders
- Schedule Production Orders based on a daily / weekly basis across all production departments based on kit status (FAI / Quick Turn / etc)
- Ensure WOs are started in a timely manner
- Work with Department Managers / Planning Department / Project Managers to ensure WO start time stay as accurate as possible
- Correct / Adjust SAP when work schedules changes
- Monitor and resolution for system confirmations
- Ensure Work Orders are completed and closed in a timely manner
- Balancing the Production Load
- Work with Department Managers and Planning Department to prioritize in a manner to keep workload in SMT/ Secondary Operations area evenly distributed and flowing.
- Review current workload with the Prod Department Supervisors in order to ensure staffing levels and work order priorities are understood
- Recommend Overtime as needed for short term needs
- Work with Department Supervisors to determine long term staffing needs if needed
- Resolve Work Order Problems
- Ensure issues with Production orders are being addressed ASAP in order to achieve expected production flow
- Elevate problems or priority conflicts to Production Planning Supervisor as necessary to achieve expected production flow
- Assist to Production Planning Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized and professional work space.
- Other duties as assigned.
- **Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities**
- 2+ years production planning experience.
- Familiarity and understanding of relevant ISO requirements
- Motivated, persistent personality preferred with leadership attributes
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Proficient in SAP
- Working Knowledge of MS Office
- Basic computer literacy
