The described position is for a Mechanical Engineer with background in Mechanical Engineer. The position is located in Guadalajara Jalisco MX.
Act team member to support during the development of power electronics enclosures. Instrument clusters, to meet the customer functional requirements, timing and project quoted cost targets.
- Develop mechanical and electromechanical components (housings, connectors, fixation supports, etc.)
- Perform design calculations and reports. (Tolerance analysis)
- Drafting using GD&T
- Update and maintenance of current products
- Follow Engineering change management and product release processes (SAP).
- Support on DFMEAs, tolerance analysis and engineering evaluation testing.

Mechanical Engineer will help on current engineering activities which include but are not limited to:

- Sustaining engineering activities, supporting mechanical design maintenance and design
- Perform calculations regarding thermal disipation & materials for electronic modules and Instrument clusters
- Perform on changes to existing or new prodcts following Comercial Vehicles and Services and procedures.
- Prepare materials for R&D validations, update MBOMs, upload information using SA/WISE, IMDS, IMS.
- Elaborate written reports & presentations (ppt and other formats) as requested by groupleader, project managers, teamleaders, SQMs, Quality representatives when is required in order to maintain close communication of findings and activities related with his/er function and in projects.
- Participate on efficiency initiatives, cost savings and patent projects
- CAD Modeling and Drawing
- Tolerance analysis and read of FEA simulations as well MoldFlow and Virtual validations (simulations)

Core Capabilities:

- Capable of solid modeling and creation of 2D drawings and specifications using CAD tools (Creo preferred).
- Capable of interpret thermal, vibration, stress, and tolerance analysis using CAD tools. (Ansys preferred).
- Ability to assemble presentations for design reviews and product quotations.
- Capable of working effectively with diverse engineering and manufacturing team members,
- Strong motivation to learn new product technology and the technical infrastructure needed to support test and manufacturing.
