Regional Category Leader

This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit located in Cd Juarez Mexico.

**Summary (About this Position)**:
The regional category leader is responsible to execute the corporate global category strategy into the regional and divisional supply base by communicating, coordinating and implementing cost improvement projects. The regional category lead is also responsible to manage the suppliers within the region of the North America and provide support to the different areas.

**Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities)**:

- Review and Implement Strategies into Category Supply Base
- Analyze regional demands to implement long term cost improvement agreements.
- Asses, evaluate and suggest suppliers to be included into supply base.
- Evaluate and Implement Cost Improvement projects and analyze financial impacts.
- Work to meet objectives related to cost and cash flow improvement as: P2P savings, Payment Terms, Shipping Terms and on time sourcing.
- Coordinate and support business transferences as assigned preventing disruptions: Tool Moves, Optimization, Rotation, FTS Changes
- Facilitate communication between suppliers and various groups.
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis and present results to upper management
- Comply with policies and procedures

**Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves)**:

- Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role
- Proven knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Advance organization and time management skills
- Good communication skills, capable of facilitating and documenting meetings
- Self-starting individual capable of executing assigned tasks and solving problems in a professional manner
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order software platforms.

**Your Preferred Background (i.e. Nice to Haves)**:

- **Proven work experience as a Purchasing Offer in the automotive industry with strong knowledge on electronic components.**:

- Proven work experience in policies and procedures standards within the automotive industry.
- Work experience with wiring harness & cables.
