**About the role**:

- The Manager - Quality manages quality and continuous improvement for the site and ensures the site meets the requirements for the Quality of products and builds a performance culture built around Continuous Improvement.

**What you will be doing**:
Quality
- Leader in Process Safety in issues related to formulations, handling and compatibility of chemical products.
- Implement/monitor quality control plans of main raw material suppliers.
- Implement/monitor quality control plans for process plants (3) and assembly plants (1).
- Monitoring of KPIs of global product quality standards.
- Receive, analyze and investigate customer complaints.
- Lead MOC processes together with Production, Marketing, Technology, Formulations and Product Implementation (PPIS) areas to manage improvements or adjustments to final products.
- If necessary, make visits to customer sites to support with product defects or implementations (in conjunction with the operational technical area).
- Follow-up and implementation of actions to reduce the cost of poor quality (CoPQ).
- Responsibility for the final product testing area.
- Responsibility for the area of destruction of explosives and contaminated matter.
- Characterization of products or raw materials new to the site (in conjunction with global manufacturing).
- Responsibility for product traceability system according to SEDENA standards.
- Maintain and execute the ongoing development of the site's quality management system to meet relevant requirements (eg, regulatory, customer, ISO, internal).
- Coordinate audits of the quality management system; which includes monitoring and notification of actions until their completion.
- Establish, support and maintain a common site standard for written procedures.
- Maintain and execute the continuous development of the site's document management system.
- Review products, processes and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made.
- Work with the Quality community of practice (COP) for the purpose of collaborating in the development of recommended practices and with the mission of the COP to provide a work environment that encourages people to motivate each other.

continuous improvement (CI)
- Maintain and execute ongoing development of the site's continuous improvement program, systems, and processes to continually identify, adopt, prioritize, and implement improvement ideas.
- Monitor and report on continuous improvement metrics to ensure compliance with agreed objectives.
- Develop and implement the annual calendar of continuous improvements for the site (strategy implementation, brainstorming/Kaizen sessions, origin analysis, total productive maintenance, 5S, etc.).
- Maintain and implement the continuous improvement training program in terms of external training of continuous improvement specialists and internal training of employees to lead or participate as team members in site CI activities.
- Lead continuous improvement project teams in complex and strategic projects.
- Represent the QCI team on the site leadership team.

**What you will bring**:

- Engineering or Science Degree in Chemistry or the related/similar fields.
- Advance English skills (required)
- 8 years experience in similar roles
- 5 years experience in leadership roles
- Experience with implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Financial and budgetary experience
- Understanding of manufacturing & operational processes/techniques
- Leading teams with a collaborative approach
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Strong strategic and business acumen
- Ability to plan, influence and execute
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office
