Overview The Program Manager is responsible for the development and execution of a portfolio of projects and programs for the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the program is completed on time and within budget and also act as a liaison between the individuals working on the program and key stakeholders. General Responsibilities Participates in all aspects of assigned programs throughout project lifecycles to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints Ensure successful and timely completion of project tasks and requirements in a timely and effective manner Monitor deadlines, budgets and activities Apply change, risk and resource management Resolve projects' issues Assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction and team member performance Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle Experience / Qualifications A university degree required Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or Role Details Amphenol TCS is seeking a dedicated and experienced Materials and Planning Manager to oversee our materials scheduling and procurement processes. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and cost reduction within our production environment. The Materials Manager will drive rapid scale-up of material planning, procurement, warehousing, and invoicing operations to support high-volume production and aggressive growth targets. This role demands a strategic leader who can accelerate supplier readiness, optimize inventory, and ensure flawless material availability during a fast-paced ramp-up. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Mexicali, the Materials Manager will be a key enabler of operational agility and cost competitiveness. Key Responsibilities Lead material planning for accelerated production ramp-up, ensuring zero shortages and minimal excess inventory. Develop agile procurement strategies to secure critical components under tight timelines. Build risk mitigation plans for supply disruptions and implement dual-sourcing strategies. Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining speed and quality Implement advanced inventory control systems and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs to reduce working capital. Collaborate closely with Production, Sales, and Global Operations to align material flow with aggressive build schedules. Negotiate shorter lead times and flexible capacity commitments with suppliers. Monitor KPIs for inventory turns, supplier OTD, and material availability, and act swiftly on deviations. Lead a high-performance team of buyers and planners, fostering a culture of urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years in materials management or supply chain leadership, with proven success in high-growth or ramp-up environments. Expertise in ERP systems and advanced planning tools. Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage suppliers under aggressive timelines. English proficiency (90% or higher); bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams under pressure and deliver results at speed. Agility and speed in decision-making. Strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
