Introduction: We are looking for a Senior Buyer. This position is critical to ensuring effective supplier management and strategic procurement within the organization. This role demands a strong focus on maintaining supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and mitigating risks to support Solar's business objectives. Below is a summary of the main responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Tariff Management:

- Work with suppliers to ensure required documentation is provided to support tariff invoices sent from supplier. Organize and retain provided documentation and ensure data accuracy to support future audits.
- Interface with Logistics and Global Trade Compliance to validate tariff charges are correct based on harmonized tariff codes for purchased items.
- Verify provided documentation is complete and issue PO to pay tariff invoice.

In addition this position may involve some of the aspects listed below as required in conjunction with the main buyer responsible for the supplier account:
Supplier Management:

- Manage day-to-day and strategic supplier relationships, including purchase orders, issue resolution, and performance metrics.
- Communicate demand forecasts, negotiate contract terms, and mitigate risks affecting Solar’s business plan.

Supply Chain Oversight:

- Develop procurement strategies, ensuring supplier capacity and compliance.
- Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to audit, regulatory, and legal standards.

Contract and Cost Management:

- Prepare, execute, and track contracts, ensuring alignment with sourcing strategies.
- Perform cost analyses and utilize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to drive cost efficiencies.

Negotiations and Risk Mitigation:

- Develop and execute negotiation strategies for various criticality levels.
- Identify and manage risks related to financial, compliance, and supply chain disruptions.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and provide guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Lead or participate in projects supporting organizational objectives.

Strategic Decision-Making:

- Support supplier selection processes and manage supplier transitions.
- Contribute to make-buy decisions and monitor market trends to align with business objectives.

Closing: This role serves as a vital link between internal teams and suppliers, ensuring the seamless execution of procurement strategies while upholding Solar’s quality and performance standards. With responsibilities spanning operational and strategic functions, the Senior Buyer plays a pivotal role in achieving organizational goals.
