**Position Overview**

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for planning, scheduling, analyzing and monitoring products through the complete production cycle, as well as all service inventory activities. The Master Scheduler will also be responsible for driving all demand to both the internal organization and external contract manufacture(s) to ensure support for all material and labor planning. Key Areas of accountability include hands-on participation in generation of monthly S&OP package, demand and scheduling, inventory analysis/recommendations, best practices and continues improvement of responsible areas.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Plans and implements activities related to the timely inventory control, planning and quality control of production and R&D materials.
- Contribute and participate in the generation of S&OP package that satisfies customer demand and optimum inventory levels at multiple sites.
- Analyze inventory/data for accuracy, identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensures maintenance of material master data related to Planning and Scheduling to ensure proper settings and product supply. This includes lead times, safety stocks and site-specific attributes.
- Update the master schedule in a timely manner to ensure that all products are being driven with up to date accuracy. Assure that changes are approved and in alignment with the company's financial plans.
- Monitor and supply Distribution Centers with appropriate inventory levels.
- Facilitate and analyze monthly inventory review including excess and obsolescence analysis with Finance.
- Develop reports that fully communicate production objectives, commitments and performance.
- Monitor performance and ensure that forecast accuracy, inventory targets and other key metrics are achieved.
- Create procedures for MRP/ERP processes and assist with implementation of new or revised MRP/ERP software packages as required.
- Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and materials shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
- Responsible for assisting the Supply Chain team with inputs to the change control board for determining appropriate actions for the implementation and dispositions of change orders.
- Assist with developing policies and procedures in the areas of storage and distribution of materials and finished goods for both on site and at company administered distribution centers.
- Schedule material demands, generate work orders and ensure delivery dates are met to support production schedule.
- Create policies, procedures and reporting for the effective management of inventory.
- Assist in setting up a kitting process and means to communicate shipments inbound and outbound to the distribution centers.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Material Management, and Engineering is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years working experience in a manufacturing environment (Medical Devices preferred) with extensive experience in purchasing, inventory, planning, and ERP/MRP systems.

**Desired Qualifications**
- APICS Certification desirable.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication, and networking skills are required.
- Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
- Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptionally high level of commitment to the success of individuals and overall projects.
- Competent with computer software such as QAD, TADA, SAP, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
