TAX SPECIALIST

Located in our Santa Fe office, you will be ensuring tax legislation and guarantee Gates Mexico processes are aligned to Tax and Statutory requirements to get in compliance with Tax Authorities

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead VAT tax request process for Mexican Entities
- Managed with tax team Mexican entities taxes.
- Research and evaluate tax law updates to align GL records and accounting balances related to tax filings
- Lead local team in any review or audit for federal or state audits.
- Gathering tax information and explaining options for best practice
- Ensuring Compliance and tax returns are filed in accordance with tax authorities' requirements
- Lead tax projects for tax optimization
- Assist Tax team providing guidance for tax reporting process.

**ABOUT YOU**
- 8 to 10 years of experience
- College degree in Accountant or Administrative
- Understanding of the end-to-end tax process in order to analyze monthly tax payments as well as tax authority audits.
- Excellent data entry skills with ability to process high volume transactions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
- Project management expertise
- Composure under pressure and demonstrated reliability.
- Complex solving problem.
- Ability to translate the technical nature of taxes for clear stakeholder understanding.
- Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training among tax team, builds collaborative relationships.
- Oracle ERP desired
- Understanding of the end-to-end monthly and annual tax calculations federal and state
- Strong knowledge in Mexican Tax laws
- Managing Projects
- Strategic thinking, Visionary and Leadership
