- Quality Supervisor- The individual will be responsible for directing, leading, and managing product qualification team members, such as technicians and reliability engineers, at the Skyworks Mexicali location.
- The primary responsibilities are as follows:
- Working with the reliability lab manager for the planning and execution of Product, Process, and Package Qualifications, Qualification Extensions, Evaluations, and Service Requests by directing, leading, and managing for the efficient use of resources at the Mexicali reliability location.
- Receives assignments from the reliability lab manager in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
- The development and training of Mexicali reliability technicians to prepare and execute a plan to successfully complete Product, Process, and Package Qualifications, and meet department objectives, goals, and metrics. Responsible for ensuring reliability engineers have developed qualification readiness plans in accordance with JESD47 for new product designs, product with new packages, or new processes.
- Selecting, interviewing, and training employees in the Mexicali reliability lab.
- Provide input to the reliability manager for purchasing, modifying, and arranging lab equipment and facilities.
- Provide input to the reliability manager on capacity plans for labor and equipment in the Mexicali reliability lab and execute a plan to make efficient use of resources.
- Responsible for advising reliability engineers, and technicians on resolving technical problems to meet schedules and objectives, and demonstrate analytical problem solving.
- Determine and advise the reliability lab manager on the requirements from a reliability standpoint through the use of acceleration techniques and analytical tools. Recommends design or test methods, and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
- Job Requirements:
- Minimum requirement: BS in electrical engineering or physics.
- Minimum 4+ year experience as Reliability, Product, Package or process Engineer in a semiconductor company or other industry.
- Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of JEDEC specification JESD47 and JESD22 specifications for reliability.
- Solid knowledge in RF products, mixed signal devices, semiconductor devices, electronics, and circuit analysis.
- Familiar with semiconductor reliability physics and microwave engineering related to ICs.
- Proficient in comprehensive numerical and graphical data analysis using excel and other software tools.
- Must possess excellent skills in problem solving and team work.
- Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of GaAs and Si processes, wafer fabrication, and semiconductor packaging/assembly is desirable.
- Project management experience desired.
