1. Position general description

The Manufacturing Engineer specialized in SAP directs and promotes the tasks in the operational area, ensuring that the productive teams are reflected for their control in SAP for adequate production planning, with the manufacturing times provided by the Manufacturing Engineer for an adequate absorption of production orders (hours paid vs. hours worked). He ensures proper unloading of loaded raw materials to the BOM, correct routing of product manufacturing resulting in successful manufacturing costing. The Engineer attends to and solves problems and complex tasks through interaction with Supervisors, Leaders, Production Operators and other team members. Among the metrics of interest to the engineer are the production boards (indicators), the monitoring of continuous improvement tasks, safety, quality, cost, process flow, and on-time delivery.

1. Successfully leads complex manufacturing engineering tasks in the areas under his/her charge.

2. Complies with safety procedures and regulations.

3. Prepares and presents process improvements/standards.

4. Helps establish and implement cost reduction efforts.

5. Work with Design and Development.

6. Identifies and solves problems in production processes.

7. Monitor and improve productivity.

8. Provides process stability through troubleshooting.

9. Work operations to implement new products and processes.

10. Participate in the Organization's continuous improvement projects.

11. Analysis and solution of backlog and productive orders in restriction.

4. Responsibilities

1. Alignment of manufacturing processes with SAP.

2. Systematic improvement of the capability of the processes.

3. Innovation of manufacturing methods and tools.

4. Assurance of BOMs and routings in SAP according to the current manufacturing process.

5. Main objectives

1. Control and improvement of the manufacturing processes in SAP.

2. Assurance of the correct costing of the product.

3. Assurance of the correct routing of the product in the different processes.

4. Assurance of the raw materials consumption from the BOMs (backflush).

5. Review and establishment of production standards.

6. Required skills

1. English 80%.

2. Problem solving methodology.

3. Experience in ISO 9001, 14000, OSHA 18000, IATF 16949 Standards.

4. General knowledge of injection and machining processes.

5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, and management of emotional intelligence.

7. Position profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanics, or similar.
- Experience 3 years as Manufacturing Engineer & 3 years managing SAP.
- Personal behavior: Decision making based on data, creativity to solve problems, with a sense of urgency.
