DevOps Engineering Technical Manager

Teamcenter DevOps Technical Lead will both implement (hands-on) and lead a team of DevOps Engineers in This position is a critical part of the Teamcenter DevOps organization that invests heavily in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) automation that is foundational to the “software factory” that the global software engineering teams use hour to hour. The DevOps Technical Lead role pays strict attention to the CI/CD pipeline tools to ensure maximum throughput of quality code for over 150 Agile/Scrum teams in the Teamcenter organization.

The fundamentals of the objectives of the DevOps Technical Lead role are to implement and manage the “software factory” with
- Robust solutions for both CI and CD tools to provide maximum throughput of evolving software, driven by broad holistic solution integration mindset
- Mentoring other members of the team to ensure technical and interpersonal growth
- Direct coaching and management of 3-5 member DevOps Engineering team
- Hands on scripting implementation work, establishing repeatable and robust patterns to ensure consistent implementation
- Operational interaction with the DevOps customer, the developer/software engineer ensuring the developer experience within the CI CD tooling is expedient and efficient
- Accountability to the Solution Delivery team guaranteeing on time and quality delivery on a fixed cadence

- Daily software developer interaction, supporting the individual needs

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

Skills Required:

- DevOps, Jenkins, any scripting languages, CI/CD pipeline handling
- Experience with CI/CD frameworks, tools, techniques and integrations
- Programming experience with Perl/Python,
- Experience with designing highly reliable CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins/Gitlab
- Exposure to Teamcenter, Activeworkspace
- Experience with some of the following technologies / tools : Jenkins, Git, Github, Docker, Ansible, Terraform,
- Tomcat, Apache HTTP, Kubernetes / EKS, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Nagios, New Relic, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Bash, PHP, Symfony,
- Experience with deploying, configuring, monitoring and supporting Linux systems

Educational background:

- Graduate or Postgraduate Bachelor degree in Engineering from a reputed institute

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 1-2 years of job experience in software development or related role
- 1-2 years of leading small to medium sized teams
- Demonstrated systems/solution orientation (breadth vs depth)
- Demonstrated Analytical skills
- Familiarity with Analytical tools including Business Intelligence, Data warehousing
- Proficient use of advanced Microsoft Excel analytical techniques
- Strong organizational skills, including Program Management, written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Agile methods and practices (e.g. SAFe)
- Demonstrated understanding of DevOps tooling related to CI/CD software factory operations (e.g. Jenkins, Electric Flow, Git)
- o Administer and monitor existing automation infrastructure, both hardware and software
- o Undergo root cause analysis of failures and address the underlying issues by enhancing scripts and utilities
- Systems thinking and in depth analytics to drive the delivery of the Teamcenter portfolio
- Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms meets specified goals/criteria
