Enterprise Data Architect

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Develops and maintains the overall data architecture strategy for the organization.
- Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
- Identifies and prioritizes opportunities to improve data quality, availability, and usability.
- Develops and manages the data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the data architecture aligns with the organization's overall business strategy and IT infrastructure.
- Develops and maintains the data models and data flows for the organization.
- Establishes and maintains data standards, including data definitions, naming conventions, and data classification.
- Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure that data is integrated seamlessly across different systems and platforms.
- Develops and manages the metadata repository for the organization.
- Develops and maintains the data security and privacy policies and procedures.
- Contributes to the management of the data architecture budget and resources.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of the data architecture and makes adjustments as necessary.
- Develops and maintains the disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the organization's data.
- Mentors [and leads as necessary] the team of data architects and data engineers.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture and applies them to the organization's data strategy.

What we are looking for:

- At least 8-12 years of experience in a related field, such as data architecture, data engineering, or database administration.
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and practices.
- Expertise in designing and implementing complex data solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling.
- Strong experience with data integration, data warehousing, and data management technologies and tools.
- Experience with data governance, including data quality, data security, and data privacy.
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization technologies and techniques.
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions and technologies.
- Knowledge of big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with metadata management tools and techniques.
- Experience with data architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman Framework.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of data architects and data engineers.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Continuous learning mindset and ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture.
