Operations Manager

**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Assistant Operations Manager be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our facilities. This role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement, process optimization, 5S methodology implementation, and effective planning to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
**Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Analyze existing processes and systems to identify areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

**5S Management**:

- Lead and promote the implementation of 5S methodology within the facility.
- Ensure workplace organization, cleanliness, and standardized processes.
- Conduct regular 5S audits and provide feedback for improvement.

**Efficiency Enhancement**:

- Monitor production processes and identify bottlenecks, work towards their resolution.
- Streamline workflows and enhance productivity through efficient resource allocation.
- Implement best practices to improve overall operational efficiency.

**Planning and Coordination**:

- Assist in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects.

**Quality and Corrective Actions**:

- Oversees quality and corrective actions process to ensure products meet the company’s high standards.
- Responds promptly to quality issues, initiates corrective actions, and prevents recurrence.
- Collaborates with team to develop and maintain quality standards.
- Review and investigate the root cause for customer cases.
- Responsible for daily scrap rounds and weekly scrap summary.

**Team Leadership**:

- Provide guidance and support to production staff to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
- Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement methodologies and techniques.

**Data Analysis and Reporting**:

- Collect and analyze data related to operational performance.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations outlining key metrics and improvement initiatives.

**Health and Safety**:

- Adheres strictly to all safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues and visitors.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or concerns immediately to supervisors or designated safety personnel for prompt resolution.
- Participates actively in safety training programs and engages in promoting a culture of safety within the workplace, fostering a secure environment for everyone.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, 5S principles, and process optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Effective leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Valid US Visa

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per month
