**Legal Counsel (Development & Commercialisation Legal)**:

**The successful applicant will**:
**Join our Development & Commercialization Legal team
- this team (of ~25) is part of the wider ICON Legal team and supports our **_Development & Commercialization_** group - this group offers services spanning the full lifecycle of development, from early phase to commercialization, and are positioned to support stakeholders’ in shaping the future of clinical development.**:
**Provide support, guidance and advice on corporate insurance matters, supporting the management of ICON’s **_Corporate Insurance_** program; and provide strategic legal solutions to key business stakeholders, including the **business unit, which specializes in the provision of strategic regulatory and commercialization consulting service **at all stages of the lifecycle of a product from molecule to medicine.**:
**Responsibilities include**:

- ** Providing strategic advice to key business stakeholders that supports efficient and effective solutions and articulates legal and commercial risks to inform decision making;**:

- ** Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of global client and vendor commercial contracts (e.g. confidentiality agreements, services agreements, software license agreements, local representation agreements, clinical and commercial technology agreements;**:

- ** Advising on commercial, corporate, IP/IT, data protection, litigation, employment, compliance and any other legal matters that arise in the day to day operation of the business;**:

- ** Providing legal support in relation to the management of our corporate insurance program, including broker relationship management, legal aspects of policy management and resolution of stakeholder queries;**:

- ** Identifying process inefficiencies, make recommendations for improvements and own/support process improvement projects**:

- ** Engaging and liaising with external counsel, insurance brokers and insurers (managing and minimizing costs to the extent possible);**:

- ** Undertaking other reasonably related and/or delegated duties (including administrative tasks) as may be identified and/or assigned.**:
**Experience & Knowledge Requirements**:

- ** Legal Qualification (admitted to practice Law) with proven experience (1-2 years’ post-qualification) in commercial contract negotiations required (experience in Pharmaceutical/CRO/Biotech/Medical Device industry and/or Insurance industry is a positive, but is not required);**:

- ** Ability to independently evaluate complex legal concepts/issues assessing risk and provide commercially focused pragmatic solutions in simple language on all communication mediums to the business;**:

- ** Team player and relationship builder with strong intrapersonal, communication, organization and time management skills;**:

- ** Self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative under tight timelines in a fast paced environment;**:

- ** Positive attitude with a strong work ethic;**:

- ** Experience in improving efficiencies in a legal function desirable.**:
