Our Santa Anita location near Guadalajara is looking for a test environment engineer to join the team, which is part of a WW multidisciplinary organization that is passionate to drive robust and state-of-the art test environment solutions.
**Core responsibilities**:
- An_a_lysis of software and system functional requirements.
- Develop, update, fix features to support the functional requirements in a HiL/SiL system.
- Enable, configure and setting up test environment infrastructure.
- Contribute in the design and implementation of in-house HW+SW specialized solutions.
- Maintain, improve and define the most appropriated equipment needed for the different project in the software test laboratory.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software in the test setup.
**Additional responsibilities**:
- Automate new laboratory equipment and tools.
- Support the HW team, SW team and test manager in the definition of new features in the existing test environment.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Engineering graduate in electronics, mechatronics, computer systems or similar.
- Knowledge of HiL systems (dSpace, Simulink, AutomationDesk, Labview) and model creation.
- Knowledge of Software in the loop testing.
- Proficient in programming languages for HiL/SiL development (Matlab, Python, C, C++).
- Experience troubleshooting HiL/SiL issues.
- Good foundations of digital and analog electronics.
- Ability to analyze electronics schematics.
- Experience using laboratory equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Frequency Generators, etc).
- Excellent English language skills in writing and speaking.
**Additional Qualifications**:
- Experience with automation scripting languages (e.g. PERL, CAPL)
- Basics of version control tools (Git, SVN).
- Experience with configuration/requirement management systems (DOORS, PTC)
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, XCP, OBD II Diagnostics).
- Familiarity with automotive calibration tools (Vector CANape, CANalyzer, ETAS inca, ATI Vision).
