**DPL Project Leader**

Located at the Visteon Technical Center in Queretaro, Mexico a mechanical design leader of a project develops and delivers high quality mechanical products for new technologies within the specified time frame and cost.

Knowledge of optics & displays for the automotive industry is a plus as well as experience in the quote phase and program development processes intended to meet customer requirements and to assure product's quality.

**Main Duties**

The DPL Project Leader holds the technical lead of the product development and the responsibility to develop and deliver high quality product within the specified timeframe and cost with the support of his/her mechanical engineering team.
- Design of mechanical systems
- Evaluation of structural & thermal designs
- Packaging of automotive electronics
- Design for assembly of high production volume products
- Design of sheet metal and plastic/ cast enclosures
- Execution of mechanical tolerance studies
- CAD experience using CATIA is desirable
- Basic knowledge of quality core tools (DFMEA, 8D, DRBFM, etc.)
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (Masters level preferred)
- Technical ownership of the product
- Translating styling data into product designs meeting functional, quality and financial targets
- Splitting into architecture design and data generation
- Incorporation of standard (off the shelf) features
- Assure correct 2D and 3D data integrity & storage
