**Position Overview**

As Head of Planning & Forecasting for our Mexico warehouse, you will lead demand planning, capacity modeling, and inventory forecasting to ensure product availability and operational efficiency. You’ll own the end-to-end forecasting process, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Forecasting & S&OP**:

- Develop rolling 12-month demand forecasts, incorporating historical sales, promotions, and market trends.
- Lead the monthly S&OP cycle: present forecast vs. actuals, adjust plans, and obtain stakeholder buy-in.
- **Capacity & Inventory Modeling**:

- Design capacity models to align warehouse throughput with demand peaks (e.g., seasonality, sales events).
- Define safety-stock and reorder points to maintain ≥ 98 % service levels while minimizing carrying costs.
- **Process Design & Documentation**:

- Establish clear, documented forecasting workflows and approval gates.
- Train and mentor a team of Planners and Analysts on best practices and tools (e.g., Power BI, NetSuite).
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Logistics to align promotions, new product launches, and shipment schedules.
- Escalate capacity constraints or forecast variances with recommended mitigation plans.
- **Data Analysis & Reporting**:

- Build and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time visibility into forecast accuracy, inventory health, and turnover rates.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on significant forecast errors and implement corrective actions (5 Whys, PDCA).
- **Continuous Improvement & Automation**:

- Identify opportunities to automate data ingestion, model recalibration, and report generation (e.g., macros, BI scripting).
- Lead Kaizen events to streamline the planning cycle and reduce lead times.
- **Compliance & Risk Management**:

- Ensure all processes and working conditions adhere to the Ley Federal del Trabajo: night-shift premiums, mandatory rest periods, and probation limits.
- Maintain documentation for internal/external audits, including SOPs, process maps, and training records.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s preferred.
- **Experience**:

- 7 + years in demand planning or supply chain roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record implementing S&OP and inventory-optimization models in an ERP environment (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle SCM).
- **Technical Skills**:

- Advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot), Power BI or equivalent BI tools.
- Statistical forecasting methods (e.g., moving averages, regression, causal models).
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator in English and Spanish.
- Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change.

**Employment Terms & Benefits**
- **Working Hours**: 5 PM - 1 AM, Monday-Friday. Night-shift differential of at least 25 % above base salary, in compliance with Article 73.
- **Rest & Leave**:

- Two paid rest days per week.
- 12 days of paid vacation per year (increasing with tenure) plus vacation premium (prima vacacional).
- Year-end bonus (aguinaldo) equivalent to 15 days’ salary.
