Lead Business Area Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the engagement of our sales teams in Latin America, with our customers on the topic of sustainability strategies. The aim of this new role is to help and support our large customer base achieve their sustainability targets, through decarbonization and energy efficiency. The work model for this role is hybrid. This role contributes to the Motion business area in Latin America. You will be mainly accountable for: - Building long-term relationships with customers from a strategic sustainability perspective, positioning ABB Motion as a trusted partner in their sustainability journey, which will in turn enable generation of sales opportunities for our energy efficient products and services - Ensuring all our sales engineers integrate sustainability topics into sales conversations with clients, particularly focusing on decarbonization and energy efficiency, and helping shape their sustainability strategies. - Managing client meetings with senior stakeholders, influencing purchasing decisions through a consultative approach aligned with sustainability strategies. - Building, developing and coordinating the network of Sustainability Champions in Motion Latin America. - Creating and growing our sales pipeline of opportunities directly linked to sustainability projects of our customers - Delivering sales targets associated to helping our customers with their decarbonization agenda
- Viewing our target market from a sustainability perspective, enabling a short/mid-term sales approach focused on sustainability, decarbonization, and energy efficiency. - Maintaining a consultative, market-facing approach, helping clients achieve sustainability goals like decarbonization and Net Zero, and translating ABB’s sustainability strategy into impactful sales opportunities. - Working closely with the Motion business management team in the LATAM countries to identify, define, and follow up on the sustainability strategy and business plans, supporting the implementation. - Assisting the organization in establishing clear roles and responsibilities for the successful integration of sustainability strategy into the business strategy, with a focus on competence and capacity. You will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

**Qualifications for the role**:

- You hold a degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Management or related fields.
- You are highly skilled in decarbonization, energy efficiency, and the vital role of electric motors in these processes, with a focus on sustainability in industrial settings.
- You have experience in senior sales roles, with the ability to lead high-level presentations and engage with senior executives and clients.
- You are passionate about sustainability and specialize in sustainability strategies (preferred).
- You are at ease communicating in English, in addition to Spanish or Portuguese as your main language
