We are responsible for bringing together all of Nubank’s financial data, monitoring it, making sure that everything is accounted for in our systems. We are also in charge of all the regulatory and financial reports, cash management and financial operations for Nubank. **As a RAS Controllership Specialist, you’ll be expected to**: - Analyze and understand how the products work in the Mexican market, as well as their respective regulations. - Analyze the financial events and data structure of new products and features and its impacts on accounting, taxes and regulation in order to determine their requirements under regulatory frameworks. - Build reports, reconciliations and automations regarding Nu Mexico’s financial regulatory reports, being the point of contact for corrections and clarifications related to such reports. - Attend and coordinate activities inside the team in relation to requirements from internal and external audits regarding financial regulatory reports. - Research and analyze technical accounting matters, including the assessment of the impact of new accounting regulation and pronouncements, to ensure the product’s accounting is in compliance with the applicable standards. - Manage cross-functional activities regarding accounting, reporting and systems-related partnering Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, Legal, Compliance and other stakeholders, from Mexico and other countries where Nu operates. - Work with the Analytics Engineers and Finance Platform analysts collaborating with specification, design, and implementation of data architecture for building, improving and automatizing processes and controls for Controllership. - Proactively identify improvement opportunities and work to implement the solutions designed. **We are looking for a RAS Controllership Specialist professional who has**: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar - Professional experience of 5+ years working in financial institutions - Strong technical accounting knowledge including Financial Regulated Entities framework, NIF’s and IFRS - Demonstrated experience with preparation and review of CNBV and BANXICO regulatory reports - Ability to tackle complex problems involving a number of topics/variables, such as business, regulatory, operational and product features - Strong interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to communicate well with different levels of stakeholders and management - Advanced knowledge and use of Excel or Google Sheets (Nice to have) - SQL and/or Scala knowledge (Nice to have) Advanced English level (Must be comfortable with oral and written communication) - **Our Benefits** - Chance of earning equity at Nubank - Extended maternity and paternity leaves - Health and life insurance - NuCare - Our mental health and wellness assistance program - Nucleo - Our learning platform of courses - NuLanguage - Our language learning program - Holiday Bonus ("Aguinaldo") of 30 days of pay per year - 17 days of paid vacation with 25% vacation bonus - Gym partnership **Our Nu Way of Working** - Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of expertise.
