**Job Description Summary**: Provide support on a broad range of technical projects within the Unison Ignition Systems Team.
In this role, you will interact with a group of engineers with sound technical expertise in the area of Turbomachinery Ignition systems to solve some of the challenges that are present in our Aviation and Industrial Commercial platforms.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to other engineers assigned to support different legacy programs.
- Document technical data generated to substantiate the analytical results consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Get a full understanding of the Ignition Systems components (Igniter, Lead and Exciter) and the physics behind them, as you might be part of an effort to improve and/or define components of all different projects.
- Participate as presenter of tasks status
- Solve problems of limited scope and complexity regarding product performance and definition of different Ignition System components.
- Analyze test data and reach conclusions and engineering recommendations.
- Prepare engineering changes, presentations, and technical documentation to support technical discussions.
- Ensure full compliance with business standards, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements
- **Must be actively enrolled in a university within a minimum period of 1 year of remaining classes before graduating.**:

- BS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering student or similar background
- **40 available hours per week**:

- Basic knowledge of Turbomachinery and/or Ignition systems.
- Mechanical analysis skills.
- Programming skills desirables
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Fundamental understanding of the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function.
- Proficiency in English language communication

Desired Characteristics
- Knowledgeable in NX Unigraphics, ANSYS, or similar design software
- Knowledgeable in Ignition Systems
- Knowledgeable in Turbomachinery
- Knowledge in Labview desirable
