The responsibility of the SMT Manager is to manage the resources under his charge at the plant level with the purpose of designing the production lines and the SMT and TH processes that ensure perfect quality, scrap control, optimization of the use of equipment, and elimination of operations that do not add value. (UGOKIS).

It is also responsible for managing the resources for the execution of equipment maintenance to eliminate downtime due to machinery failure, control of spare parts, and tools, software, etc., as well as the replacement, updating and implementation of new equipment and technologies and the introduction of new products.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Establish systems in the SMT processes for a continuous flow.
- Develop preventive maintenance systems to maximize equipment utilization.
- Coordinate improvement projects.
- Develop the staff under your charge to make their function more efficient.
- Implement safe and risk-free processes for the environment.
- Develop savings plans coordinated with all departments.
- Implement improvements in processes (For example: measurement of dead times automatically, characterization of processes, measurement of quality in real time, automatic generation of
- Placement programs for the machines, automatic validation of uploads.
- Project management to improve flows, lay-outs, equipment upgrades, technologies.
- Coordinate with the NPI group the SMT process of transfers of new products.
- Establish systems and operations aimed at reinforcing the safety of personnel.
- Participate in drills and follow Emergency Response procedures in the event of a contingency.
- Contribute to compliance with the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001).
- Ensure that their subordinates comply with the applicable environmental legal requirements in their area, ethical responsibility, work safety, the company's internal work regulations, and any other law applicable to its operation. It is also the employee's responsibility to notify their immediate supervisor if they become aware of any deviation from these laws or regulations.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electromechanical/Industrial or related career.
- 7 to 10 years in the Manufacturing Engineering Department and/or SMT, two of them as Manager.
- Manage Productive Maintenance systems.
- Administration in project management.
- Responsible for establishing methods in manual and automatic operations.
- English language proficiency.
- Computer skills.
- Stop processes that do not comply with quality rules.
- Stop machinery that is in poor condition and may be damaged or injure an employee.
- Prevent/stop any action that may affect the safety of personnel or may damage the Company's facilities.
- Employee administration.
- Authorize purchases that are within your budget and established limits
