TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures. **What your background should look like**: **_ Responsibilities:_** - Lead and develop talent in the Americas procurement team - Regional responsible for all relevant KPIs in the region about productivity, delivery, quality, and other operational targets - Work with PAC project management team to achieve project timing and cost target, support engineering in new product development (Co-design, OEM, ODM) - Establish and drive regional sourcing strategy for key commodities and lead the global sourcing strategies for assigned product line - Work closely with supply chain team on delivery performance related to tactical buying - Recommend the make-vs-buy decision process in the region with cross functional team - Drive continuous improvement in purchasing (TEOA) for GATD Americas and supplier compliance according to corporate policy. **_Qualifications:_** - **Direct materials sourcing experience in manufacturing companies**: - Sourcing experience in one or more commodities including **machining, tooling, electrical, assembly**: - Demonstrated experience in hiring, developing and leading a team - Bachelor’s degree, engineering preferred - Advanced degree is a plus - Motivated person who is not afraid to challenge company "norms" and push for changes - Good communication and presentation skills with upper management and cross-function teams - Assertiveness and responsibility for decision making and driving - Work well in international teams with members from different functions and culture environment - **Computer knowledge: MS-Office, SAP MM module is desirable**: - English language skills in speaking and writing - Able to travel (up to 20%) **Competencies**: Managing and Measuring Work Motivating Others Building Effective Teams Values: Integrity, Accountability,Teamwork, Innovation SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers) **At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.
