**Responsibilities**:

- Research sources, quote, negotiate, and source materials and services required for a chemical manufacturing facility
- Responsible for both maintenance and capital project procurement
- Develop and implement local site procurement strategy and coordinate execution of corporate procurement strategy
- Add to bottom line of company by developing and executing cost reduction strategy
- Lead procurement effort to support turn arounds and emergencies, occasionally after hours
- Ensure that all plant purchases comply with Celanese Procurement Policy and BCP (Business Conduct Policy)
- Work with legal and suppliers to agree to legal terms that are favorable to Celanese

Qualifications:

- Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in supplier selection, price negotiation, and implementation of contracts
- Demonstrated history of cost reduction
- Experience with computer skills (Office, SAP)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Conflict/Dispute resolution
- Problem solving, peer relationships, drive for results
- Understanding of MRP (material requirements planning), goods receipt, invoicing
- Manage supplier and internal relationships
