Coordinate the Zone during the shift in ordinary and continuous improvement activities, meet with Supervisors / Team Leaders to guide Stellantis Production Way (SPW) activities and share priorities. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost savings, and employee morale during the shift. Ensure quality and operation systems are implemented and functioning per standards, re-establish ideal conditions in the case of system failure or non-conformance and plan for scheduled / unscheduled maintenance while maintaining quality and throughput levels. Work with Area Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to develop plans for absenteeism management within the budget targets. Lead a cross-functional team in daily activities, quality and throughput improvements, problem solving, and root cause analysis. Ensure production targets are achieved, take part in Zone's budget definition and approve subsequent forecast/operative plan estimates. Work with Area Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to develop plans for absenteeism management within the budget targets. - Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in Welding Process, MIG; TIG manual and automatic equipments.
- Bachelor's degree in Robotic, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Aeronautical, Controls, Systems, Chem Eng, Physics or related engineering field from an ABET accredited/equivalent university.
- Experience working with PLC automatic systems
- Experience with friction steel wielding process
- Deep understanding in battery cells and diagnostics
- Proficiency communicating in technical English language. Highly developed communications skills.
- Soft skills: Self-directed, collaborative (teamwork), ownership, sense of urgency/ agile, achiever, leadership & project management skills.
- Prior experience with software Lincon, Weld Spun, WTC
- Trained and with experience in problem solving methods like Kaizen, Shainin (Red-X), RPS.
- Experience with machine, systems operation and integration
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
