Provide best-class macroeconomic analysis of the EMEA region, understanding how macro juncture, market events, and economic risk can impact CX's business.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Assume coverage responsibility on various countries, with focus on the EMEA region.
- Responsible for forecasting the macroeconomic environment (e.g., growth, inflation, demand industry volumes, FX) and its outlook in EMEA countries where CEMEX has operations (current assessment, short, medium and long-term forecasts, main challenges, opportunities, and risks).
- Define and justify baseline and risk economic scenarios.
- Responsible for the monthly publications of the covered countries (distributed to top management).

**Position Challenges**:

- Discussions with countries’ business units about macro forecasts (understanding that business goals are set based on macro projections and that deviations from business goals may impact rewards to business units in the company.
- Consideration of range estimates and risk scenarios in our decision-making process, which traditionally requires point estimates.

**Qualifications**:

- Advanced English required (C1/C2 or TOEFL/IELTS equivalent
- Bachelor’s in economics or similar and Master’s degree or equivalent desired
- 6-8 years of work experience in Macroeconomics/Economic Research
- 5 years of experience in Banking system. Economic Research (Macro analysis, Latin America, Financial Markets).
- Technical skills: Data analysis, statistical packages & economic modeling techniques.
- Professional skills: Communication skills, leader, extrovert, assertive, not afraid of being wrong, capable of challenge supervisors and colleagues, thinking ahead, writing and presentation skills.
