We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of

**TM Analytics Manager**

**Role purpose**:
The Manager TM Analytics is a key role within the Compliance Chief Operating Office (Compliance COO). The role will work closely with the following local and global teams; Compliance, Group Risk Analytics, Independent Model Review (IMR). Interactions with local Global Businesses (GBs) and Functions (GFs) will also be required to support the model inventory in Canada.

This role reports directly to the Head of Compliance TM - Systems, Controls and Models who reports to the Canada Compliance Chief Operating Officer.

**Main activities**:

- Support model development and change projects, including producing quantitative modelling on large data set, numerical analysis and data queries
- Support documentation throughout the model lifecycle, write good quality and comprehensive technical model documentation.
- Support model monitoring of transaction monitoring models, include producing reporting suitable for management consumption
- Assist Head of Compliance TM - Systems, Controls and Models in designing relevant model risk controls to meet Model Risk Policy (both locally and globally)
- Assisting Head of Compliance TM - Systems, Controls and Models for active model risk management across HBCA

Requirements

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Strong analytical skills. Minimum Masters level in Math/Science/Engineering discipline
- Good understanding of statistics and familiarity with sophisticated tools for numerical analysis (eg. Python).
- Previous experience in either Financial Crime Risk Management (eg. Anti-Money Laundering Transaction monitoring) or quantitative modelling on large data set.
- Hands-on experience in model development/re-development working with Python
- Working knowledge of Anti Money Laundering Transaction Monitoring systems
- Ability to write clear and understandable documents
- Strong communication skills, able to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements
- Strong prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to work with a degree of autonomy while also being able to work in a collaborative team environment
