Sr. Packaging Engineer

- Packaging calculation and Design projects (most popular are PE, Corrugated, Wood, Urethane)
- Fabricate packaging samples
- Project documentation (reports, drawings, quotation, BOM management)
- Perform Packaging Validation Test
- Visit customers with SEE sales team to develop packaging when needed

**Responsibilities**

**Packaging calculation and Design projects**
- Review incoming projects from sales/customer service for complete info
- Design the packaging project according to the customer needs

**Fabricate Packaging samples**
- Fabricate packaging samples for testing or to share with the customer

**Project Documentation**
- Track project through Insite system, uploading relevant documentation
- Create drawings if needed (AutoCAD, Artios, SolidWorks)
- Communicate to the Sales Rep to inform them that the project, samples, or quotation is ready
- If an order is received then set up part in Syteline, order tools, and work with production on FRA

**Perform Packaging Validation Test**
- To perform packaging validation test (ISTA, or customers specific)

**Visit customers to develop packaging projects**
- Possible Fieldwork expected 10% developing packaging projects.
- Regular communication and coordination with centralized design network management team

**Education and Experience**
- **Bachelor degree**:

- **ISTA CPLP Technical Level - Certification - Desirable**:

- **Fluent in English (verbal and written)**:

- **4 to 6 years relevant work experience as Packaging Design Engineer preferred**:

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Artios, SolidWorks)
- Design experience in Corrugated, PE, Urethane, and Wood are most important
- Familiarity with Sealed Air products a plus (Instapack, Korrvu, Void Fill, etc )
- Ability to use sample table (Kongsberg)
- Ability to work with equipment to perform vibration and drop test
