Sr. Accountant

**Job description**:
**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Financial Reporting & Compliance**
- Prepare and ensure the accuracy of **monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements** in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Provide **timely financial reports** to HQ, ensuring they meet corporate deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with **local tax regulations, financial standards, and company policies**.

**2. General Ledger Management**
- Maintain and reconcile **general ledger accounts** to ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure proper recording of **journal entries, accruals, and adjustments**.
- Assist with the **month-end and year-end closing processes**.

**3. Accounts Receivable**
- Manage vendor and customer accounts, reconciling outstanding balances.
- Address **discrepancies and resolve financial issues** related to AP/AR.

**4. Budgeting & Cash Flow Management**
- Assist in **budget preparation and financial forecasting**.
- Monitor **cash flow**, ensuring financial stability and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for **cost control and financial optimization**.

**6. Process Improvement & Efficiency**
- Identify **opportunities to improve financial processes** and enhance reporting efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Cost Accountant and other teams to streamline financial workflows.
- Ensure financial data integrity and compliance with **Epicor ERP** systems.

**Qualifications & Requirements**

**Education & Certifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting**, Finance, Business Administration**, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is a **plus**.

**Experience**:

- **5+ years** of experience in financial accounting, specifically in **automotive manufacturing**.
- Strong knowledge of **financial reporting, compliance, and general accounting principles**.

**Technical Skills**:

- **Proficiency in ERP** for financial tracking and reporting, preferably **Epicor**.
- Advanced skills in **Microsoft Excel** (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and **financial reporting tools**.
- Knowledge of **local and international accounting regulations and tax compliance**.
- Experience in **budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management**.
- Proficient in English and Spanish.

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per month
