The Kanban Master is responsible for managing and controlling the material flow to synchronize it at all processes’ levels improving the efficiency of the supply chain.

This role should facilitate change and continuous improvement activities by maintaining a bi-directional network of communication between Materials department and Operations guaranteeing a fully aligned system of feedback loops to respond to production needs.

The Kanban Master interacts with the entire Supply Chain Team - Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Sales to optimize results. Kanban Master attends permanent meetings with local organization to organize the daily activities of the plant. Provide presentations to Plant Manager and one level higher. Participate in cross functional committees to look and share best practices for materials management and safety.

**Responsabilities**:

- Set performance goals for the department and establish actions plans to meet them.
- Ensure storage and distribution activities are optimized.
- Define inventory controls and strategies to achieve inventory goals and challenges.
- Establish distribution practices and protocols to achieve an efficient material flow.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure material delivery in a timely manner.
- Establish metrics and reports to measure and control on time delivery and inventory in transit.
- Coordinate material floor set-up for initial runs and regular production.
- Maintain stock control systems up to date and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Manage lean manufacturing programs for the supply chain.
- Warehouse and Inventory Control and analysis
- Lead lean and cost savings projects related to inventory, space optimization, materials storage and handling, etc.
- Generates regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Works closely with Planning Manager or Master Scheduler in the creation of the production schedule.

**Education & Certifications**:
**Education**

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field. Materials management certified professional preferred.

**Experience**

5 + years of experience in materials management department. Inventory control, scheduling and logistics experience required.

**Requirements**:

- Understand MRP, procurement and planning parameters.
- Working knowledge in Oracle ERP environment preferred.
- Very proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Supervising personnel management ability.
- Ability to effectively lead multiple areas.
- Demonstrated experience in work process improvement and root cause analysis is preferred.
- The ability to go fast; the desire to help others go faster.
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
- Professional level of English.
- 10% travel requirements
