Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mechanicals Expert - EH&S Manager located in Guadalajara North Campus.
Reporting to the EH&S Manager the Mechanicals Expert - EH&S Manager this role involves Responsible for providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites in order to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.
What a typical day looks like.
- Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Health & Safety (H&S) programs in offices, and Mechanical’s manufacturing sites, with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
- Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
- Conduct meetings involving safety, training and awareness programs.
- Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
- Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
- Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.
- Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
- Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment and materials.
- Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
- Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field required.
- Advanced experience in EHS Mechanicals in a manufacturing environment
- Strong English communication skills (both verbal and written) Personnel Management.
- High-Risk Industry experiences
- Root cause analysis Metalworking experiences
- Advanced of Hard y soft tooling experiences
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
- ISO45001 Lead Auditor
- Machinery -Risk Analysis Machinery safety expert
- Knowledge and expertise in LOTO processes with experience in Mechanicals
- Strong decision-making problem-solving skills
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of Safety regulations and policies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Schedule availability.
- Master’s degree desirable.
- Certified Electrical Safety Engineer (CESE) desirable.
- Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE) desirable.
