The Sustaining Thermal Engineer s upports product sustaining tasks. The Sustaining Thermal Engineer acts as a technical expert for manufacturing and Product management. The Thermal Engineer provides supports engineering changes and updates to existing Edge Thermal product lines.
The Sustaining Thermal Engineer supports product sustaining tasks for the company’s Global Rack & Edge Thermal products.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provides technical support to internal Vertiv functions
- Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements and implementing them through the ECN system
- Teamcenter, CREO, Agile EC & PD Cloud
- Supports analysis through mathematical modeling and testing.
- Work with Mechanical and electrical team to improve existing design and support factories.
- Works closely with Global NPD engineering (Monterrey and Pilsen) to transfer information and support designs.
**Education & Certifications**:
Bachelor of Science in Thermal or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
**Requirements**:
- 5 years of engineering product development or support experience.
- Working knowledge of mechanical concepts.
- Ability to follow, create, and organize testing and instructional procedures.
- Basic mechanical CAD tools experience primarily for review of thermal designs.- CREO experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically.
- Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams.
- English communication skills
