The role of the sources and process specialist is to understand business process and data requirements that fall under the Business Excellence to provides accurate data, works with a variety of different departments, such as commercial, finance, HR etc., to ensure that processes and data are being implemented correctly following the highest levels of competency.
Sources and process specialists may also be tasked with identifying ways to improve current business practices or develop new ones. This might include anything to streamline certain tasks to creating new policies and procedures to better manage data and process performance.
This role must have a strong experience as functional consultant and business processes inside the company and strong knowledge and experience working in the different platforms and solutions in order give a wide view of the company operative processes at data level to the development and visualization teams.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Assisting the technology, systems, and process workstreams to define the common data model vision, data sourcing approach and data transformation approach.
- Working with other departments within the organization to ensure that initiatives align with corporate goals and objectives
- Evaluating the effectiveness of processes to determine opportunities for improvement.
- Recommending new policies or procedures to improve efficiency or effectiveness.
**Position Challenges**:
- Conducting research and analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement in data and business processes or developing new methods for improving efficiency.
- Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partners or customers needs in a multicultural environment, multi-level organization and for multiple domains (Commercial, Financial and Operative data structures and processes)
- Be capable to translate customer’s needs to co-design the best possible solution.
- Comply with aggressive timelines for multiple projects, initiatives, and assessments
**Qualifications**:
- Language Proficiency: Advanced English & Spanish
- Academic Background: Computer science Engineer (or related Engineering), Finance, analytics solutions, reporting.
- Areas of expertise:
- 3 years: Related to Data topics supporting different Business areas or Information Technology areas.
- 3 years: Data Management, Data Lakes, Data Services, Databases, Semantic layers.
- 3 years: Business Process or Functional Consultant.
- Planning & organizing skills
Skills desired by role:
- Knowledge of CEMEX Data Strategy
- Knowledge of CEMEX process platforms (SAP, MVC, Grafoper, Concur, CAVI, Intelex)
- Knowledge of CEMEX processes: P2P, O2C, H2R, R2R
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to details
