**Purchasing Manager**

**Job Summary**:

- Managing the Commodity Purchasing team to reach the Budgeted KPI.
- Define and implement the commodity and suppliers strategy to meet Nidec requirements.
- Monitor and manage suppliers development to reach the QCD target given to the supply base.

**Primarily Job Responsibilities**
- Manage the Commodity Purchasing team to reach the Purchasing Budgeted (Negotiation, Resourcing, suppliers VA/VE, Insourcings).
- Define the Sourcing strategy,
- Define the Commodity Strategy and market segmentation, constraint, market risks and their trend,
- Ensure deep understanding of costs from suppliers (CBD and nature of costs)
- Define suppliers profile needed taking into account new needs and supplier market evolution.
- Control and approve New Business Awards, New Business Hold, and Veto for New Business Award, Phase Out.
- Follow and consolidate the Supplier QCD Score Card.
- Organize and Lead Coordination Meetings, Promote Best Practice sharing, plan suppliers days and suppliers performance reviews.
- Ensure all Commercial and Quality documents are formalized between suppliers and Nidec.
- Selected suppliers for the projects must be integrated early (phase 0 or 1) and gives them access to the project platform.
- Follow with Purchasing team the APQP stages and insure 100% completion.
- Coordinate all the General Expenses and Machinery Purchasing buys follow the Nidec procedures.
- Assure all the bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, determines method of procurements such as direct purchase or bid follows Nidec Procedure.

**Qualifications**
- Master’s degree. MBA is a plus.
- English (Bilingual)
- Knowledge of purchasing department operations, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Project team and project organization (preferably in the automotive sector).
- 8 years minimum of experience in a Purchasing, R&D, Industrialization, Quality, Sales or Project function, and General expenses.
- 3 years minimum in Management position.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft pack offices, SAP.
- Commercial negotiation and legal aspects.
