Engineering Analyst

**Location**: Juárez, Nuevo León.

**Work Mode**: Hybrid.

**BASIC FUNCTION**

Under the direction of the Design Tools Leader, this individual will be responsible for the on-time creation and accuracy of 3D AEC Design Tool files (3DS, DXF, DWG, OBJ, SKP). Production is handled through partners. Responsible for the coordination of asset requirements with Engineering, Marketing, and/or Technical Communication staff, and/or vendors. Contributes to the creation and maintenance of standards. Recommends content and standards for support documentation.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plans, coordinates, and directs activities related to the creation of 3D CAD symbols.
- Exhibits strong project leadership in the planning, scheduling, organizing and implementation of 3D CAD symbols.
- Qualifies incoming requests.
- Assumes development and quality responsibility for Kohler, Sterling, and Kallista brands and regions supported by the department.
- Serves as the contact for new product development teams, current product teams, and customer service teams with 3D CAD symbol requirements.
- Serves as the contact for ongoing matters related to technical requirements related to quality and customer usability.
- Ensures timely completion of 3D CAD symbols.
- Communicates and negotiates to appropriately manage workload and timelines.
- Assists in determining internal work and information flows for improved quality and delivery of files.
- Maintains contact with customers to identify perceived shortcomings and field problems, and thereby recommend improvements.
- Procures quotations and evaluates vendors and/or internal resources to ensure design tool quality, cost control, and timely delivery.
- Maintains project costing information and assists supervisor in assigning cost parameters for future projects.
- Proofs file deliveries against source files and basic requirements (from a user perspective).
- Represents department in matters of technical content and usability of design tools. Recommends and contributes to the support and maintenance of documentation of technical communication requirements, standards, and processes for all digital assets.

- Reports to Sr. Manager - Design Tools
- Organization Relationships:

- Has continuous contact with Technical Communications and Engineering Services staff.
- Has frequent contact with New Product and Current Product Development teams.
- Has frequent contact with Faucets and Fixtures Marketing and Communications.
- Has occasional contact with Customer Service.
- Has occasional contact with International Marketing, product development teams from other Kohler businesses, and other Kohler business Technical Publications Departments.
- External Business Relationships:

- Has frequent contact with external vendors.
- Has occasional contact with end-use customers of product support documentation.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferably Architecture/Engineering.
- At least five years’ experience in a related technical/manufacturing field is preferred. Will substitute relevant work experience.
- Mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and ability to read product engineering drawings is required.
- Requires demonstrated visualization skills - the ability to translate between two
- and three-dimensional data views.
- 3D CAD symbols user experience desired.
- Attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills required.
- Must be self-motivated. Requires proven interpersonal and team leadership skills. Must demonstrate proficiency at managing complex projects, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency with Sketchup, 3DS Max, 3D AutoCAD required.
- Proficiency with database use and excel spreadsheets required.
- Experience with AR/VR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality) technology is preferred.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Familiarity with Pro/E or Creo is a plus.
